Sa Platgeta,
a bar restaurant situated on the Migjorn beach, started last Saturday a
new stage with a lively opening fiesta that was visited by over 500 people,
counting local and foreign residents, tourists and some political representatives.
Toni Ribas, Juanjo Marí and Joan Yern, the team that also runs
the
Restaurant
Sa Finca, are the people in charge of the business as from now, taking
over from Josep Castelló and Carmen Martínez, the family
that set up Sa Platgeta in 1977 and after running the establishment for
the past 25 years, want to take a well earned rest.
The new project intends to continue the principal directives of Sa Platgeta
as far as gastronomic orientation for the public. Although the menu will
be extended above all in the section of fish and shell fish. The apple
fritters with icecream, such a characteristic of Sa Platgeta, can still
be enjoyed.
The Bar is open non stop from 11 a.m. till 11 p.m. (and until 2 a.m.
in August!) while the kitchen works from noon till 4 p.m. and 6 till 12
p.m.
