Children in war

Children in war
In the armed conflicts of recent years, children have been not only unintended victims but deliberate targets of violence.

The thriving global commerce in small arms and light weapons has contributed to the proliferation of these tools of destruction, which fuel wars, make it easier for children to be exploited as soldiers and threaten children's lives every day in war zones and neighbourhoods.
