From July 21 to 25.
On July 25 is the saint's day for Saint James, patron of the island of Formentera. For this reason the Formentera Town Council has prepared a wide selection of activities that will last until Monday 25. Once again, the music will be the main element of the fiestas.
The choice for Thursday 21 is a concert in the Sant Francesc square. The day after, Friday 22, there will theatre and cinema and on Saturday 23 a Flower Power party with Blue Bar DJ's and Javi Colours and Miquel Botja DJ's. The programme for Sunday includes a windsurfing regatta, traditional songs in the Club of the retired people, and at night a concert by the local group 4 de Copas and by Jarabe de Palo. The day of Sant Jaume, July 25, as usual, there will be a mass in the morning and traditional dances at 9 p.m. The activities will end with a concert by Aires Formenterencs, a firework display and a dance with music by Orquesta Platería.
Shortly after the Sant Jaume fiestas, the Santa Maria fiestas arrive, also known as the Festes de la Terra. On the web of the organisers, there is a draft of the programme for this year.
