257 activities distributed between Mallorca, Menorca, Eivissa and Formentera.
Within the European Science & Technology Week, from November 2 to 14, the fourth edition of the Balearic Science and Technology Week will take place. In total, the week will feature 257 activities: 122 will be held in Mallorca, 92 in Menorca and 43 in Eivissa and Formentera.
The programme includes guided visits, exhibitions, lectures, courses, cinema, excursions, workshops... Worth stressing is the Science Photography Contest, the homage to the first scholarship researchers of the Balearic Islands, and the presentation of a book about poisons by the Menorcan researcher of the XIX century: Mateu Orfila.
This fourth edition of the Week has a budget of 214.000 euros, sponsored by the Economy, Income and Innovation Department of the Balearic Government, the Education and Science Ministry of the Spanish Government, and the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology.
