Photographs by Gisèle Freund

After the exhibition by Blanca Pérez Portabella, the Sa Nostra Cultural Hall in Formentera is holding until October 4 an exhibition by Gisèle Freund (1908-2000), French photographer born in Germany. Freund was one of Europe's most prominent photographers, pioneer in the use of colour photography. She took pictures of famous politicians and artists, aswell as the cities where she lived, and she specialized in conveying the attitude of her subjects.

This exhibition groups some hundred photographs, books, letters and videos that summarise the artistic career of this famous photographer.

The entrance is free and the visiting times are from Monday to Friday from 10.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. and from 6.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.; Saturdays from 10.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m.
