This Thursday, as from 9.30 p.m. at
sa
Punta d'es Molí, the fifth edition of the "Mostra de Curtmetratges"
de Sant Antoni will start. Six short films will compete to win the Premio
Incortum for the best short and the prize from the public of this festival,
that is one of the only places where short films made in the Pitiüses
can be presented to the public.
The association
Incortum organises
this festival, that this year has six very singular stories. "Canapès
a la vengeance" by Pedro Prieto, "Sobredosis" by Manolo Matoses, "Gnomon",
the first short that is presented from Formentera, by Albert Baquero and
Francesc Xavier Garcia, "Odisea" by Javier Riera, "Las mujeres de Álex"
by the winner of the Public's Prize of last year, Hèctor Escandell,
and "Centrifugat" by Carmen Vidal and Núria Roca.
The festival has a limited budged of 901,5 euros (150.000 pesetas)
and forms part of the programme for the
fiestas
de Sant Bartomeu. Javi Martín, of Incortum, points out that
"each year there is an improved development in the short films produced
on Eivissa although more means and infrastructure are still necessary".
