The Casal Balaguer in Palma is holding until may 30 the collective
exhibition called "Plàstica contemporània croata". The exhibition
groups works by eight Croatian artists representative of the new creative
and aesthetic tendencies produced in Croatia.
Moreover, the Exhibition hall of the Calvià Town Council is holding
until May 30, the collective exhibition "Gràfica contemporanea croata".
The exhibition, that has already visited Sant Llorenç des Cardassar,
and will be presented from June 8 to July 2 at the Torre de Ses Puntes
in Manacor and from July 4 to 22 in Portocolom, features a selection of
the graphic production of 30 Croatian artists.
The two exhibitions are part of the programme "La primavera croata de
les Illes Balears", organised by the Fundació Balears 21, with the
aim of showing the Croatian Culture in the Balearics. The programme began
with a photographic exhibition by Marija Braut at the Claustre del Carme
in Maó, an exhibition that can now be seen
until
june 12 at the Cloister of the Eivissa Town Council and from June 15
to July 22 at the Auditòrium sa Màniga de Cala Millor. The
exhibition by Edo Murtic, that can be seen
until
May 29 at the Museu d'Art Contemporani d'Eivissa, is also part of the
programme.
During May there have been several performances around the Islands by
the theatre group ZKM from Zagreb, the Choir of the Hvar Island and the
Baroque Ensemble from Zagreb.
The Philharmonic from Zagreb will perform on May 28 and 29 at 9 p.m.,
at the Palma Auditorium, and the Ballet from the National Theatre from
Croatia will perform on June 8 at 10 p.m., also at the Palma Auditorium.
