The Swiss photographer, Beni Trutmann, died of a heart attack last
Sunday at his home on La Mola.
Beni Trutmann (1935) lived on Formentera since the end of the fifties,
being one of the photographers who has photographed the island best, capturing
with real mastery all the charm and nature of the island society.
He recently published "Formentera", a book that offers an extraordinary
visual tour of Formentera, from the air, on land and from the sea.
A man who was very integrated into the Island, he had been a regular
collaborator of ecological organisations such as Greenpeace and the GOB.
On the author's web,
www.beni-trutmann.com,
a good number of the photographs of the book "Formentera" can be found.
