News from the BalearWeb FREEmail service

The BalearWeb FREEmail service, that provides email accounts and free web space to the users of MallorcaWeb, MenorcaWeb, EivissaWeb and FormenteraWeb, started working in July 2001, offering the following domains:

- mallorcaweb.net
- menorcaweb.net
- eivissaweb.net
- formenteraweb.net

This service has been available for the users of MallorcaWeb since October 26, 1998, with the denomination MallorcaWeb FREEmail, and became BalearWeb FREEmail in July 2001.

The BalearWeb FREEmail service offers 15 MB of disc space for email and web pages (additional space available free upon request). One of the main advantages of the service, amongst many others, is that the mailboxes can be managed using any email client –such as Outlook, Netscape Messenger and Eudora– and with the WebMa@il, indiscriminately.

Now, after some months of work, a new WebM@il has been installed, featuring many personal options such as the language of the web interface (English, Catalan, Spanish...), message highlighting, mail folders and address book, attachment support, etc.

BalearWeb, the new header that groups and supplies common services to MallorcaWeb, MenorcaWeb, EivissaWeb and FormenteraWeb, will organise this year the III Web Prize, that until now has been organised by MallorcaWeb, amongst all the users of the service.
