The Riu Hotels chain has started building
the Club-Hotel Riu Jalisco, in Puerto Vallarta (Mexico), that will have
700 rooms. The new hotel, that will be opened in summer 2002, will be the
biggest hotel of the RIU chain, excelling the Club-Hotel Riu Tequila, also
in Mexico, with 664 rooms and the Club-Hotel Riu Gran Canaria with 639
rooms.
The future Club-Hotel Riu Jalisco will be a 5 star hotel and will offer
the "all included" formula, like the other four RIU hotels in Mexico on
the Playa del Carmen beach: Riu Yucatán, Club-Hotel Riu Tequila,
Riu Palace México and Riu Playacar.
Meanwhile, Riu Hotels have recently opened the Riu Tropical Bay on the
paradise beach of Bloody Bay, in Negril (Jamaica).
Riu Hotels, a firm that started in 1953 with the small family business
in the Playa de Palma, has today 90 hotels in 10 countries with 11,500
employees.
