Green Week in Brussels

Green Week in Brussels
What kind of environment do we want to live in? What kind of environment do we want our children and grandchildren to inherit? Thesse questions are the starting point, according to the European Commissioner for the Environment, Margot Wallström, for the Sixth Environment Action Programme Environment 2010: Our Future, Our Choice, which the European Commission has proposed to the Member States and the European Parliament.

The new programme focuses on four major areas for action climate change, health and the environment, nature and bio-diversity and natural resource management, stressing the importance of involving citizens and business in innovative ways.

The Green Week, that will take place in Brussels form April 24 to 28, is designed to publicise the Sixth Environment Action Programme, bringing the European Union environmental policies closer to the citizens.
