On September 7 and 8 at the Sa Nostra Cultural Centre in Calle Concepció
12 in Palma, are taking place the days "
Local government perspectives in
the Balearics" organised by the
Federation of Local Entities of the
Balearics (FELIB) and by the Institute of Autonomic Studies, dependent
on the
Presidency Ministry of the Balearic Government.
The opening ceremony will be presided by the President of the Govern,
Francesc Antich, and there will be participation by Pere Rotger i
Llabrés, mayor of Inca; Ramon Orfila i Pons, mayor of Es Mercadal;
Isidor Torres i Cardona, mayor of Formentera; Luciano Parejo Alfonso,
professor in Administration Law of the University Carlos III in Madrid;
Margarita Nájera Aranzábal, mayor of Calvia and president of the FELIB;
and Juan J. Zornoza Pérez, professor in Financial and Tax Law at the
University Carlos III.
During the talks the "Draft Bill for Balearic Local Government" will be
presented. This will be carried out by Pere Antoni Mas Cladera and
Gabriel de Oleza Serra de Gayeta, members of the committee for the law
promoted by the Conselleria de Presidencia of the Balearic Government.
Closure of the days, Margarita Nájera Aranzábal, mayor of Calvia and
president of the FELIB, and Antoni Garcias i Coll, conseller of the
Presidencia del Govern de les Illes Balears.
