Quatre illes: new Catalan magazine

Quatre illes is a new periodical publication in Catalan for the islands, belonging to the Ibizan media firm SPEB, editors also of the independent weekly Proa. The contents of Quatre illes is general information, with special emphasis on cultural, linguistic and historic questions.

The director of Quatre illes is Joan Cerdà (Barcelona, 1959), journalist and writer, the head reporter, the journalist Claudia Roig (Palma de Mallorca, 1976). Amongst the habitual correspondents are the sociolinguist Bernat Joan i Marí, the writer Hèctor Hernàndez, the Menorcan journalist David Marqués and the philologist Joan Cabot, who is also the linguistic consultant for the publication.
