The Balearic Government, in a meeting of the Cabinet held today, Friday, has passed a law at the proposal of the Council for Work
and Welfare to create the Economic and Social Council of the Balearic Islands (CES), as a stable framework and permanent
communication and dialogue between economic agents and between these and the autonomous administration, and as a
consensus organ and support for the participation of these agents in decisions.
Independence, impartiality, variety and plurality are some of the basic characteristics that the Law establishes relating to the origin
of the members of the CES, carrying out its consultant function via determinations related to the norm activity of the Govern
connected to socialeconomics and labour.
