The agreement signed by
Sol Meliá and the
Moroccan Government contemplates, amongst other steps, the construction of a luxury resort at Agadir, that will allow the Mallorcan company to introduce the brand Paradisus into the Mediterranean Basin. Morocco is one of the countries of the area that has most potential for tourist growth. In this connection, in 1999 it is foreseen that over 2.4 million foreign tourists will visit Morocco, which will mean an increase of 20% over the previous year.
