Spaces Of Balearic Nature, the official organisation responsible for the management of the natural and public areas of Balearic Islands, has created the web Espais naturals of the Balearic Islands. The new site includes extensive information on the following protected natural areas:

According to a press release by the Grup Balear d'Ornitologia i Defensa de la Naturalesa (GOB) promoting protected areas is positive, but it is irresponsible when management resources, including both budget and staff, are being slashed.
