Next Friday, February 28, in Palma, Eivissa and Sant Francesc de Formentera
there will be a poetry reading against the war, called "Poesia contra la
guerra", organised by the Consell de Joventut de les Illes Balears with
support from the Government, the Insular Council of Mallorca, The Insular
Council of Eivissa and Formentera and the Town Council of Formentera. The
event, that will be presented in Palma by Vivian Caoba, will include the
reading of several poems by well known poets, accompanied by young musicians.
There will also be a book where the attendants will be able to sign, write
a poem or a make a drawing to express their opposition to the war.
The poetry meeting will be held simultaneously at 8 p.m. in the Cultural
Centre of the Misericòrdia in Palma and in the Meeting Hall of the
Insular Council of Eivissa and Formentera. As for Formentera, the event
will be held from 12:30 to 14:30 h at the Garden of Ses Eres in Sant Francesc
Xavier.
