The "Festival Folklòric" offers this year dances from Moldavia,
Aragón, Galicia, Menorca and the "ball de bastons" from Sitges.
This coming weekend is the turn of Folklore. On Saturday and Sunday,
in many towns of the Pitiüses, there will be ceremonies included in
the "Festival Folklòric d'Eivissa i Formentera", for the sixth time.
The programme includes performances by the
Colla
Vella de Bastoners from Sitges, by the group Alleran from Asturias,
the Grupo de Danzas Otana (Valladolid), the Compañía Aragonesa
de Folklore Tradicional (most recommended the portal
Arafolk),
the Galicians A Subela and the
Grup
Folklòric Tramuntana, amongst others. Guests from outside Spain
are the Folk Group from Karutsa, from the capital of Moldavia, Kishinev.
The festival will end this Sunday, as from 7 p.m., at sa Punta d'es
Molí, in Sant Antoni, with a dance with all the participants, and
also Sa Colla de Sant Rafel, from Eivissa. Before there will be a street
parade in the Passeig de Ses Fonts. The Festival is organised by the Federació
de Colles de Ball i Cultura Popular d'Eivissa i Formentera.
