Folklore days on Eivissa and Formentera

The "Festival Folklòric" offers this year dances from Moldavia, Aragón, Galicia, Menorca and the "ball de bastons" from Sitges.

This coming weekend is the turn of Folklore. On Saturday and Sunday, in many towns of the Pitiüses, there will be ceremonies included in the "Festival Folklòric d'Eivissa i Formentera", for the sixth time.

The programme includes performances by the Colla Vella de Bastoners from Sitges, by the group Alleran from Asturias, the Grupo de Danzas Otana (Valladolid), the Compañía Aragonesa de Folklore Tradicional (most recommended the portal Arafolk), the Galicians A Subela and the Grup Folklòric Tramuntana, amongst others. Guests from outside Spain are the Folk Group from Karutsa, from the capital of Moldavia,  Kishinev.

The festival will end this Sunday, as from 7 p.m., at sa Punta d'es Molí, in Sant Antoni, with a dance with all the participants, and also Sa Colla de Sant Rafel, from Eivissa. Before there will be a street parade in the Passeig de Ses Fonts. The Festival is organised by the Federació de Colles de Ball i Cultura Popular d'Eivissa i Formentera.
