This afternoon, at 8 p.m. at the cultural centre of
"Sa
Nostra" of Eivissa, the book number two of the books "Estudis
sobre el Turisme a Eivissa i Formentera" will be presented. The work has
been published by
Mediterrània-Eivissa
and, coordinated by the economist, Joan Carles Cirer Costa, and groups
the work by different authors and students in the world of Ibizan tourism.
The hotel director, Enric Sangonzalo will present this work.
Amongst the articles that the book includes, we can find one by Cirer
Costa on tourism in Eivissa in the 30s another by Carmen Ramón,
graduate in tourism, on "El Consum Hoteler dels Productes Hortofrutícoles"
and a proposal for a tourist use recovery of the abandoned mines s'Argentera,
in Sant Carles, presented by Joan Escandell Serra.
The study, amongst other data, also includes the evolution of the tourist
offer in the Pitiüses between 1950 and 2000, the development of the
Plan of Tourist Quality on Eivissa and Formentera (a work by Rosa Cicuéndez)
and a study on the age and nationality in relation to tourist spending
on our islands.
