The book "Formentera" by the photographer, Beni Trutmann (Suiza, 1935),
offers an extraordinary visual trip round the Island, from the sky, the
land and the sea. Trutmann, who visited Formentera for the first time at
the end of the 50s, has managed to capture with real skill all the enchantment
of the nature and society of the Island. A habitual collaborator
with ecological organisation such as Greenpeace and the GOB, the artist
shows in his work images of the past and the present, calling on the collective
responsibility in the future development of the Island.
On the author's web,
www.beni-trutmann.com,
a great part of the photographs in the book can be contemplated.
It is worth a visit! It is worth mentioning that the web is available
in different languages, but not in the language of Formentera.
