Today at the Chapel of the Consolat de Mar the new councillor for
Innovation
and Energy, Priam Villalonga i Cerda, took over his position. The new
councillor substitutes the previous councillor, Misericordia Ramon, who
resigned on Thursday after the publication of the contents of the "secure"
contract for 10 years that she had signed with the exdirector of the
Parc
Bit, Felio Morey, in which an annual indemnity of 12 million pesetas
was envisaged for the cancellation of the contract.
This is the second resignation since the constitution of the present
Balearic Government in July 1999. In May 2000 the councillor for
Agriculture,
Joan Mayol,
resigned
and was replaced by the general secretary of the PSM party, Mateu Morro.
