Six editorials of the Islands are participating in the Frankfurt Book Far that was opened last week and remained open until
October 23. The editors had the support of the
General Direction for Culture, who, via the programme for Foreign Projection,
has promoted the participation in what is considered to be the most important book fair in the world. ¡
The participating editorials were:
Editorial Moll, Edicions
Documenta Balear, Miquel Font Editor,
Di7, El Tall and
Res Pública
Edicions. The editors who participated in the Fair chose different authors from the islands amongst whom are: Antoni Vidal
Ferrando, Miquel Rayó, Josep M. Palau i Camps, Miquel López Crespí, Antoni Serra, Gabriel Florit, Albert Herranz,
Miquel
Bezares and Neus Canyelles, among many others. In the sections for social sciences important research works can be found
by Llorenç Capellà, Joan Cerdà, Rosa Rodríguez, Miquel Julià, etc.
The Frankfurt Fair is not dedicated to the sale of books but rather their publication.
