The Charter for Fundamental Rights of the European Union is the topic of
the VIII Euroscola Contest for secondary educational centres throughout
Spain organised by the
European Parliament Office in Spain.
Via this contest, the Spanish participants are selected for the
Euroscola Programme of the
European Parliament with a view to gather
together in the Eurochamber hemicycle in Strasbourg, 626 youngsters, the
same as the number of Euro MPs, for them to get to know the European
institutions.
Each Autonomous Community will have a winning school. A group from the
said centre, made up of 31 pupils (between 14 and 19 years) and 3
teachers, will receive a "travel bag" with the money for the journey,
that will take place during the 2001/2002 school year.
In the work to be presented in the VIII edition, the participating
youngsters must create the design of a printed poster or a web page that
promotes the contents of the
Charter of Fundamental Rights of the
European Union, or produce a publication for youngster, either on paper
or digital. For the Centres of Special Education, the configuration of
the work is free. The limit for the presentation of work is March 1 of
2001.
